Researching organizational culture while having a corporate job that made me struggle with my own professional purpose were some of the best decisions I’ve made. On top of an early and fortunate career choice, they helped me realize there is no reason work could not be a product of inner purpose instead of just a duty. The study of psychology and social science has fully exposed the geek in me but I soon learned that information itself isn’t transformative. In 2014 I started an independent practice determined to deepen my understanding of culture and all of what makes people feel and perform well at work. As much as I enjoy keeping an eye on the latest psychological research and management theory, I want to walk in as unbiased as I possibly can to each organization. At the core of my approach, I look for balance between using diagnostic tools and intervention methodologies as general frameworks, and wearing the “exploring observer’s hat”. I turn to behavioral science while fine-tuning a common sense to cultivate dialogue, invite inclusivity, facilitate learning and engage diverse viewpoints. People change through experience and I’ve been lucky to accompany a number of great businesses through theirs.
